Booking now for careers events

As part of our plan to pull more employment resources into the EmployAbility website, our events booking system should have something for everyone. There's bound to be one or more events to help you take early, positive action to enhance your employment potential.

SEOTYStudent Employee of the Year Awards (SEOTY)

Nominations are now open for Student Employee of the Year, which aims to recognise and promote the outstanding contributions and achievements of students who effectively combine part-time work with their study commitments.

This is a great opportunity to receive recognition for the hard work and dedication they have shown during their part-time work both on and off campus.

Step internshipUnpaid Internships

You cannot waive your right to the National Minimum Wage (NMW). Whilst representative bodies such as the NUS and AGCAS, with our encouragement, are putting further pressure on the government to implement current NMW legislation, we never advertise or encourage unpaid internships.

They deprive earned income whilst creating a legal liability for the employer. They can also encourage malpractice and unnecessary workplace conflict.
